Zenlayer has joined the Telecom Infra Project (TIP), an engineering-focused initiative that aims to reimagine the traditional approach to building and deploying telecom network infrastructure.
Co-founded by Facebook, Intel, Nokia, SK Telecom, and Deutsche Telekom, and driven by operators, infrastructure providers, and system integrators, TIP explores new approaches and technologies across three focus areas – access, backhaul, and core and management. Each focus area is composed of project groups that address key industry needs.
Zenlayer will contribute to TIP’s edge computing project group by leveraging its edge computing and SD-WAN expertise to help simplify cloud network architecture and improve digital experiences globally. Members of this group will work toward a shared goal of providing lab and field implementations for services/applications at the network edge by leveraging open architecture, libraries, software stacks and MEC.
