Telin Singapore and Zenlayer to Jointly Offer Cloud Networking Services in Southeast Asia

Singapore, Singapore – October 9, 2019 Telin Singapore CEO Andreuw Th.A.F and Zenlayer CEO and Founder Joe Zhu announced a partnership today between their two companies to bring Cloud Networking to Southeast Asia. Users in Telin’s data centers will be able to enjoy direct connections to other data centers and clouds all over the world. Furthermore, through software defined networking (SDN) users will be able to instantly provision and monitor connections across the globe.

“Telin has always been focused on giving our customers the best connectivity possible, whether that’s connecting directly to hyperscale cloud players in our data centers or using our submarine cables to reach countries as near as the Philippines or as far as the United States. This partnership with Zenlayer further expands our direct connection options globally,” said Telin Singapore CEO Andreuw Th.A.F.

The partnership will enable Telin’s customers to use Zenlayer’s Cloud Networking, which provides instant direct connections between public clouds, private clouds, and data centers around the world. Telin-3 Jurong (Singapore), Serpong (Tangerang), and Cyber Data Center International (Jakarta) will be the site of the first three direct Zenlayer connections. The partnership also includes the use of Zenlayer’s private global backbone, which enables fast speeds and direct network control by avoiding the public internet.

“We’re pleased to strengthen our friendship with Telin via this partnership,” said Joe Zhu, CEO and Founder of Zenlayer. “We’ve already been relying on Telin’s local expertise to offer our international customers better access to Southeast Asia. The new direct connections in Singapore and Indonesia will reduce latency even further and make it easier than ever for companies to reach the growing Southeast Asian market.”

Both CEOs expect there to be particular interest in the new connections from Singapore and Malaysia to large overseas markets like India and China. According to Andreuw, “In this global economy, you can’t afford to ignore any segment of the market. Our users will be very pleased to have connections available on demand.”

Zhu concurred, saying, “Overseas markets are hugely important to any company that wants to consider itself global. For that reason, the kinds of connections we will be providing to Telin’s users go beyond just data transfer. Zenlayer not only has more than 120 PoPs around the world and an 8.3 Tbps global backbone, but we can also assist companies with deployments and navigating local regulations. We like to think of it as connecting businesses, not just data centers.”
